Engineering & technical documentation support for medical technology

Scoped support for medical technology and rehabilitation robotics teams, combining Information Engineering, clinical rehabilitation experience and hands-on medical-equipment service work.

How to read this page: it describes areas Samuel can discuss for a defined assignment. It is not a claim of a registered engineering consultancy, accredited conformity-assessment body, or certified service provider. Each request is reviewed against actual skills, project needs and applicable requirements before any work is agreed.
⌘01

Requirements & systems documentation

Help organise product context, user needs supplied by the client, system boundaries, interfaces, assumptions and traceable requirements into reviewable working documents.

Possible outputs: requirements register, system overview, interface list, traceability table.
▤02

Hardware & electromechanical technical documentation

Prepare or review system descriptions, component and interface notes, service procedures and technical reports using information and design decisions verified by the client’s responsible engineers.

Possible outputs: document set, service notes, configuration records, technical report.
✓03

Verification planning & test reporting

Structure preliminary verification plans, checklists, acceptance criteria drafts and evidence/report templates. Planning and documenting a test is distinct from performing, approving or certifying it.

Possible outputs: draft test protocol, checklist, results template, issue log.
◎04

Clinical workflow to engineering input

Help teams translate rehabilitation workflows and therapist or user observations into clear engineering questions, use scenarios and design inputs for review by the product team.

Possible outputs: workflow map, use-context summary, design-input discussion paper.
⌁05

Medical-equipment service support

Discuss service documentation and troubleshooting workflows informed by previous medical and physiotherapy equipment experience, within the equipment, information and authorisations available for the assignment.

Possible outputs: maintenance checklist, troubleshooting guide draft, service-record structure.
↗06

Technical coordination

Support remote review meetings, issue tracking and handover between clinical, engineering and service stakeholders for a clearly bounded work package.

Possible outputs: action log, decision record, handover summary.
⇄07

Technical procurement support

Turn client-defined clinical and engineering needs into vendor-neutral technical criteria, and structure comparisons of supplier offers against specifications, compatibility, service support and documentation supplied by the client.

The client retains supplier selection, commercial negotiation, purchase approval and ordering. Public-tender work is not offered as a standalone service.

The site is the front door; the work is agreed project by project.

01 / ENQUIRYDescribe the problem and desired output

Email a short, non-confidential summary. Do not send patient data, passwords, proprietary files or sensitive information at first contact.

02 / SCOPINGCheck fit, inputs, boundaries and timeline

Agree what is in scope, which source information is authoritative, who reviews the work and what is explicitly excluded.

03 / AGREEMENTConfirm deliverables and commercial terms

Before paid work, agree a written scope, responsibilities, schedule, fees, confidentiality and data-handling arrangements.

04 / DELIVERYPrepare and hand over the agreed work

Deliver drafts or records for the client’s qualified team to review, approve and use within its own quality and regulatory processes.

Use relevant standards as project references, not as marketing badges.

Where relevant to the product, intended purpose and project stage, a team may need to consider ISO 13485 for medical-device quality management, ISO 14971 for risk management, and applicable IEC standards. For rehabilitation robots that physically interact with a patient, IEC 80601-2-78:2019+AMD1:2024 may be relevant to basic safety and essential performance. The applicable set must be determined for each project by the responsible manufacturer and qualified regulatory specialists.

Referencing a standard does not mean this service certifies compliance, performs an independent conformity assessment, approves a medical device, or replaces the client’s quality, regulatory, safety or legal responsibilities. Verification plans and reports must be reviewed and approved by the responsible project team.

This website does not offer patient-specific advice, clinical evaluation, certification, CE marking, notified-body services, formal regulatory submissions, or claims that SAMO Rehabilitation is a finished or tested robot.

Clinical context and technical service experience.

Samuel Motlagh has a Bachelor’s degree in Information Engineering (L-8) from the University of Padova, a background in physiotherapy and osteopathy, and previous service-engineer experience with medical and physiotherapy equipment, including troubleshooting, calibration, repair and preventive maintenance.

Assignments are accepted only where the requested scope matches the available experience and can be responsibly bounded. Specialist PCB layout, firmware development, full product design, safety approval and formal regulatory assessment are not represented as services on this page.

Send a short
